The 2019 Festival takes place on Monday May 6th at the Recreation Ground in Chalgrove. There are plenty of attractions for all the family; this is the largest FREE festival in the area! We look forward to seeing you there.

Helena is a local Chalgrove singer; come and support her!

14:50 - Steve Askew - Music Stage
Steve has a repertoire that runs through the last 50 years of popular music, and hosts "Stevenings" on New Years Eve in Chalgrove.

16:05 - Troubshort & Turnipseed - Music Stage
Introducing Mr Reg Troubshort and Mr Abner Turnipseed, we started as a double act performing American old time and bluegrass music with cool British humour. We play 5 string banjo, Appalachian dulcimer, guitar, octave mandola, harmonica, and even the tea-chest bass. Now we have grown to a 5-piece band with double bass, lap steel, fiddle, washboard and cajon.

18:35 - Ellie & Charlie - Music Stage
Ellie and Charlie are local singers; come and support them!

Chalgrove Festival 10k

The Chalgrove Festival 10k is now in its 9th year, the event has grown in stature each year, and is now a part of the regular Oxfordshire Road Racing scene attracting in excess of 500 runners of all abilities.

It is fully licenced by UKA and an extremely well run event; those who have run it before will know, those who have not, should really give it a go!

All runners get a technical running t-shirt. Also prizes for all Category winners, and a special prize for the first Male and Female Chalgrove residents. Must live in the village to qualify.

Main Events

There are several events and shows that will take place at the Festival this year:

Boot Camp Challenge - Are you ready to take on the Boot Camp? With 26 metres (86ft) of inflatable fun, the Boot Camp offers a real challenge. Contestants have to negotiate their way through different obstacles, from the tyre gauntlet challenge, to swinging across the inflatable ravine - yes a swing incorporated to the inflatable! Can you get to the end of the obstacle course quicker than anyone else? Of course you can! Want to enter a team? Fill out this FORM and email to info@chalgrovefestival.co.uk

African Acrobats - in the main arena, a breathtaking & astonishing show of African acrobatics & traditional dance creating an exhilarating atmosphere and a unique acrobatic experience. Don't try this at home!

Wayne Wonder - returning to the Festival is the magical Wayne Wonder, a multi-award winning entertainer, who keeps both children and grown ups wanting more!

Wheatley Birds of Prey - once again, you have the chance to get up close to some of the most beautiful raptors in the UK.

We have a wide range of stalls exhibiting at the Chalgrove Village Festival, from all walks of life - some to sell, some to inform, and some to attract new members. These stallholders are the heart of the local community, so make sure you come along to support them!

The Fun Dog Show

The famous Chalgrove Fun Dog Show! Enter your dog into a range of categories, and see how you get on. Prizes to be won!
